Sending out a message

post

So we’re getting ready to send out the first Cara Austin CD promo – a package we’re sending to some people who might be interested in her CD and message. I spent a LONG time trying to make sure to find the right people to send the package to, and we have 50 people on the first list that are going to get the mailing.

All the pieces are on my dining room table and we’ll be assembling things this weekend. I thought I would show you some before and after pictures in case you’re interested. The black masks are what we spent a long time cutting out last week, as I mentioned in a previous post.

Have a great weekend everyone!

11:47pm

post

It’s late! I’m barely making this blog post before the stroke of midnight, which is always my goal. There are many reasons for this, but the one that you’ll care about the most is the I’ve been working all day on getting the first big Cara Austin promotional mailing done. It will be going out very soon. I’ll post some pictures as soon as I find a camera to use (Cara’s borrowed mine for her trip!)

Vatican: It’s OK to believe in aliens

post

Outerspace

  • Me: I want to link to a big announcement that NASA is going to be making today at 1pm EST.
  • Cara: (Sends me a link to an article titled “Vatican: It’s OK to believe in aliens.”)
  • Me: Interesting
  • Cara: That is on the front page of yahoo
  • Me: But it isn’t about the announcement happening today is it?
  • Cara: What are you talking about
  • Me: There is some big announcement by nasa today at 1pm that they found something that they have been looking for for 50 years
  • Cara: Sounds boring. like a lost screwdriver.
  • Me: hahaha
  • Cara: I think that the vatican saying it’s ok to believe in aliens is more relevant to us not knowing what is out there. and that was a big announcment by the pope
  • Me: But that wasn’t the article I was looking for.
  • Cara: You stick with nasa
  • Cara: I will stick with the pope

Tupuri

post

I am totally bummed because I wanted to include an audio file here, but I can’t get it to upload. This link goes to a page where you can listen to the Tupuri language being spoken. Click on the link on the page that says “Listen now!” with the little megaphone icon to hear it. So cool!

Movies in new languages

post

When I read the email that Cara forwarded me that they are going to be showing movies in 4 languages in which THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A MOVIE SHOWN BEFORE – well, that’s amazing.

Here are the languages, for all of you who are interested:

  1. Tupuri
  2. Guiziga
  3. Gbaya
  4. Peve

Is that amazing, or what?

post

“I am expectant that we will conduct some premiere showings in languages where there might never before have been any movie in the history of mankind. Is that amazing, or what?”

The leader of Cara’s Cameroon trip, where she’ll be showing the Jesus Film in some newly translated languages.

Google interactive map of Cameroon

post

Google Map of Cameroon

I just found this cool thing with Google maps, which is that you can see pictures placed on the map – to see real-life items that are in the place on the map that you’re going. Here’s the link to the Cameroon map. I’ll post some of the pictures, too.

Cameroon Huts

post

Cameroon Huts

This is a picture of Cameroon, I guess that this is the area of the country that Cara will be in when she’s there. She sent me this picture today and I thought I would share because it is so incredibly cool looking. Thanks for all of your prayers everyone who is praying – Cara is starting to get excited rather than scared now.
