Anyone who has ever had a meal with Cara knows that she is addicted to salt. Very addicted to salt.

But what you might not know is that she gave me a set of salt shakers for my birthday this year – so that I could be sure to have them on hand when she comes over.

To be fair, she gave me some other gifts, too.

Cara: It comes from France.

Of course, Cara hasn’t seen the blog yet, so that makes it easier. I wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Cara has some Irish in her somewhere – can’t you tell from the red hair – but she identifies herself more as Cherokee than Irish. You read that correctly, even though I’m sure that you’re tempted to re-read.

As far as I know, Cara doesn’t have any big St. Patty Day plans this year, although I believe that LAST year, her good friend Jay made her Corned Beef to celebrate. Did you ever wonder what Corned Beef was? I did. I’m going to go look that up now.
