There is a lady at the jungle’s edge

There is an old man in the depths of Nepal
He’s got shackles on his feet, and he’s chained to a wall
They let him go, but they warn him well
That if he keeps on speaking he will be back in this cell
But with a strength in his jaw and a glint in his eye

There is a traveler with luggage that’s worn
And he holds in his hand a photo, smudged and torn
He takes just a moment to think of those left behind
Then he closes his eyes as the plane starts to climb
There’s a peace in his heart and a purpose inside

When I look around this troubled land
I don’t always see your plan
So I go out to search the stars
To find the answer to where You are

Sometimes I wonder why You take so long

Living in the darkness yet searching for light

Will we dance with the angels into the night
Will we wear white robes that reflect light
Will we all get sing in the heavenly choir
Will we wear halos and be able to fly

Like waking up from the strangest dream
We’ll laugh and remember our time on earth
And wonder how we would have lived differently
Had we known what we know now
Looking down from heaven’s clouds

Have you ever wondered what it will be like
Will Moses and Paul invite us over for wine
Will we be able to eat anything that we want
Will we get to do things we think are fun
Will we get to sleep till 3pm
Or will we never get tired and just hang out with friends

Will I finally find the answers that I seek
Will God tell me that He was proud of me
Will I finally understand all His ways
Will I fall down when I see His face
Will I care more about Him than me
Will I be a lot nicer suddenly
 
How can it not change my life
to know that one day all this will be left behind
And we’ll be living in the very home of God

As high as the heavens are above the earth, so is Your love for me
Just as a father loves His children, so You love me
And Your love is forever and ever to those who fear Thy name
You’ve removed my sin from me, as far as east is from west

Bless the Lord, O my soul
With all that is within me
I will bless His holy name
I will not forget His goodness

He pardons all iniquities
He heals all disease
He redeems my life from the dark pit
He crowns my head with love and compassion

The Lord has established His throne in the heavens
